At our first retreat on Edisto Island, South Carolina, we decided we needed a name. We came up with the Clan of the Turtleweavers.

Why?

Because the creative process is like a turtle: it's slow, you have to stick out your neck to get anyplace and sometimes you need to draw back into your shell!. "Weavers" because we weave stories.
