The Structure of the Retreat
We meet for a three hour workshop in the morning, then break for lunch around 12:30. For more detail, see Our Journey.
- We have three hours free in the afternoons — for alone time, soaking in the hot tub, or exploring the wonders of Acadia National Park as a group or on your own. Our shore front is a two minute walk from the house, and there are several lovely trails accessible from Rising Sun Cottage. Eagles often fly overhead!
- On some days we come back for another session around 3:30in the afternoon. On other days, we have the whole afternoon off.
- In the evenings we close our day together with open readings and other activities.
- Our gourmet meals are cooked by a private chef. We have all our meals at the house, except for one dinner and one lunch, which we eat in Bar Harbor restaurants I love!
"Emily's retreats reconnect me to my creativity and release parts of myself I either need to reclaim or let go. These retreats strengthen my resolve to protect that time I need for my creative outlets and help me create balance in my life." ~ Carolyn Rowland
